Our weekly astro-oracle is a theriomancic message:
Pheasant Spirit

What is theriomancy? Theriomancy or zoomancy is a form of divination that involves observation of the appearance and behavior of wild animals. Common forms of theriomancy include ailuromancy, the study of cat movements, and augury, the study of bird formations. While ailuromancy appears to be more fixed than other systems of divination, with some going so far as to interpret the cat’s color or actions, individual animal totem or spirit animals also have rich symbolism, which can be accessed by tuning into the oversoul of the animal.
I asked Spirit, what do all those who frequent this page need to know this week to stay in alignment with the highest good? Then, while out for a drive, suddenly I noticed a pheasant dart across the highway, just missing a big white truck. Why did the pheasant cross the road, indeed?! Since this is an animal I seldom see, I recognized it as our weekly spirit animal messenger.
Pheasant symbolism is letting us know that our personal magnetism and vitality are heightened right now. While the female bird is rather demure compared to her counterpart, the male bird uses color to his advantage to attract what he wants. By allowing others to see our confidence, so can we. While Pheasant Spirit empowers us to go ahead and 'strut our stuff,' sunsigns.org cautions that the spirit animal urges us stay true to ourselves in the process. Don’t be audacious just for the sake of it, like the pheasant who crossed the road!
Similarly, spirit-animals.com adds that the pheasant is a sign that we have unexpressed emotions or untapped creative passions that are burning deep within. Pheasant Spirit empowers us to start feeding those passions, so we may start yielding manifestational bounty and sharing it with others. Moreover, pheasant symbolism may also be prompting us to do some self-evaluation. Slowing down to appreciate the pleasures of life, exploring new romantic experiences, and practicing good fellowship helps us embody our manifestations more fully. While beautiful things surround us and are there for our enjoyment, first one must believe oneself worthy of such an experience!
Interpretation
Australian cosmologist Elizabeth Peru notes in her weekly Tip-Off Global Energy Forecast that a “burst of grounding light floods through the cosmos.” Making and initiating action plans at this time helps us make the most of the two-week lead-in to the Eclipse Season. Meanwhile the Pisces Stellium also returns throughout this period, encouraging us to release old patterns that no longer serve.
On Tuesday, April 12, Jupiter and Neptune meet for their much-anticipated conjunction in Pisces. A good time for spiritual self-development, according to astrologyking.com, we readily understand how esoteric principles, broad concepts, and abstract ideas integrate with our existing philosophical or religious belief systems. Travel, adventure, or spiritual groups may also appeal, but listening to our intuition will teach us plenty. While unrealistic expectations are a possibility since we will be feeling expansive and optimistic, the transit and Pheasant Spirit reconnect us with magic all around us, reminding us that our dreams really can come true!
Helping us broaden our spirituality and hone our intuition, astrobutterfly.com explains, “both Jupiter and Neptune rule Pisces, so they both speak the language of the Universe, [compelling us to find] meaning in what is otherwise, confusing, overwhelming, or incomprehensible.” Peru and Pheasant Spirit add, “You may have a spontaneous awakening into an ever-deeper sense of who you are, as an eternal traveler of the light… Every step that you take, which follows the guidance of your intuition will deliver you huge dividends right now. You’re building up trust in who you are.” Since dreaming, meditation, and psychic revelations may also help you grow spiritually at this time, the sources remind us to pay special attention to our dream symbolism.
Also starting on this day, the Sun in Aries is sextile Saturn in Aquarius, bringing about great strength, consistency, sobriety, and self-control. According to astrosofa.com, during this two-day influence, "we achieve our goals, even if painfully." On a more uplifting note, Peru adds that the Sun is working in alignment with Saturn to bring us some “high-velocity cosmic assistance that creates a natural urge to hold yourself to account.” Providing a wave of courage to implement lifestyle changes that help us embrace our health and spiritual power, we’re being cosmically urged to place a self-responsible focus upon our future direction—"and it all begins with you," says Pheasant Spirit.
“Just when we thought things can’t get more morphy and wavy,” observes astrobutterfly.com, Mars joins Jupiter, Neptune, and Venus in Pisces on Thursday, April 14, reactivating the Piscean Stellium energies from last month. “Mars is like a chameleon in Pisces,” the source continues; “he still takes action, but in a Piscean way.” When Mars is in Pisces, astrosofa.com adds that our energy is reliable yet volatile. Sensitive and diplomatic, we take the lead but inconspicuously. Dreamy, forgiving, and sacrificing, our passions may also come to light. "It’s not that [Mars] is flaky," astrobutterfly.com explains; it’s just that in Pisces the planet gains perspective on how everything is (inter)connected, “how the flap of the butterfly’s wings can cause a tornado!”
This weekend, we have our Full Moon in Libra on Saturday, April 16. Square Pluto in Capricorn and trine Mars and Saturn in Aquarius, “there's a strong pull to do the work," explains astrobutterfly.com, "even if that means having some serious conversations or taking an ego blow here and there.” While every full moon in this sign provides greater depth of insight into others, because of its aspecting, this Full Moon in Libra also provides greater insight into ourselves—for example, "how may we have been unconsciously projecting some of our own qualities onto others?" question the source and Pheasant Spirit. Finally, just before Mercury is confronted by unpredictable Uranus in Taurus next week, its sextile with Venus in Pisces on Sunday, April 17, makes us kind, cheerful, stimulating, friendly, eloquent, and adaptable. We may find an outlet for our imagination, inspiration, and sense of design in the arts and creative projects on this leisurely Sunday.
